We will be talking about several issues affecting the community including park cleanup, revision of our Bylaws, and proposed restatement of our Certificate of Formation.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE FEES – Per our restrictive covenants the annual maintenance fees of $100 per lot will be billed at this time. For those with whom we have email addresses on file your bill will be emailed from ElCaryTreasurer@gmail.com. These are payable upon receipt of the bill. Payments can be made via check or money order to El Cary Estates Improvement Association, and mailed to PO Box 861, Seabrook TX 77586. Zelle payments may be sent to the ElCaryTreasurer@gmail.com email address if you prefer to pay that way.
COMMUNICATIONS UPDATE – In our last newsletter we promised a new website and new committees to address association needs. The website was completed mid-November, and three new committees were formed: Communications, Park, and Governance. It’s very exciting to see so many people interested in working together to make our community a better place to live. Don't forget our community Suggestion Box is located at 204 Lake View Blvd near the front door. New members of the Communications Committee will be announced next quarter.
PARK UPDATE – Recall the board passed a preliminary budget proposal to allocate $1,000 to the cleanup of the park from Hurricane Beryl. Of this, a $500 bonus was paid to members from our park landscape team following their cleanup of the large debris. The Park Committee is working to coordinate future work efforts from members of our community. Please let us know if you’d like to help. The Park Committee also received three bids to rebuild the fishing pier. The committee will review these bids and make a recommendation to present to the next board meeting.
GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE – Last quarter we promised to begin improvements to our dedicatory documents for HOA compliance. The Governance Committee was created to help make this happen. They have already begun work on amending the association by-laws. Changes will be voted on at the April board meeting. Be sure to join us for that event.
Our ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING COMMITTEE has been working with homeowners and has already approved several improvement requests. If you’re thinking of making improvements, just send an email to ElCaryEstatesIA@gmail.com along with your plans. You’ll receive a timely reply as our rules are not strict, and we want to help any way we can.
YOU’RE INVITED – Please join the growing energy in our community! We hope you will participate on one of our committees. The time commitments are minimal, but the work is rewarding and so much fun! If you have some time and the desire to help, please let us know. We need your ideas and your energy!
Remember that our board meetings are open to all property owners. Our next quarterly meeting is scheduled for April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Taylor Lake Village Municipal Building, 500 Kirby Rd., in the Council Chamber. Please come and join us. See you soon!
G Ron Poole, President
